Artisanship built with elegance and precision.
Renaissance Italian Architectural Artisans brings handmade Italian craftsmanship to Miami's finest homes and estates, built around a discipline of uncompromising luxury applied to how people live today.
Renaissance Italian Architectural Artisans is built around a simple belief: the craftsmanship inside an extraordinary home deserves the same uncompromising discipline as the architecture around it. We build deliberately, taking on a small number of residences at a time so every detail receives the level of attention true luxury demands.
Our approach draws directly on Italian carpentry traditions — hand-fit staircases, hidden hardware, and wood paneling with the grain seamlessly matched from panel to panel — handmade by our artisans in Italy and applied to the way people actually live in South Florida today: closets built like furniture, kitchens engineered for daily use, wine rooms held at temperature, and teak decking detailed to survive the outdoors for decades.
Every piece is designed here, handcrafted by our artisans in Italy, and installed by our own Miami team, so tolerances stay tight from drawing to final finish.
How the Chamula family started Renaissance.
Renaissance Italian Architectural Artisans was founded by the Chamula family — Fernando, and his sons Diego and David — who lived in Italy for several years before moving to Miami to build their real estate development business. Along the way, they saw a gap: Miami had limited access to truly high-quality, distinctive building materials and specialized craftsmanship.
Speaking Italian gave the Chamula family a direct line to Florence — to the specialized, highly trained artisans and the unique materials the region is known for. They began sourcing and shipping that craftsmanship home, and built their own installation team in Miami to bring it all together, giving Miami homeowners access to a level of quality, variety, and one-of-a-kind materials that simply wasn't available locally. And because the same hands-on team sees a project through from start to finish, they deliver it faster than larger, less hands-on companies typically can.
That system — paired with their taste, hands-on supervision, and exacting standards — let them build homes unlike anything else in Miami. Word spread, and homeowners who'd seen the Chamulas' work began asking for help with large-scale home improvements of their own. Renaissance Italian Architectural Artisans was born not only from that demand, but from a true passion for the work — and our clients could sense it.
The name Renaissance comes directly from those roots in Florence — the city where the Renaissance itself began. It's a reminder of where our craftsmanship comes from, and the standard we build to.
Homes built for the long term.
We work with a small number of homeowners in Miami and South Florida, in some of the region's most exceptional residences, who expect nothing short of uncompromising luxury and want every detail built to the same exacting standard as the architecture around it.
Because of the level of craft involved, we take on large-scale projects only — commissions that span several spaces in a home, such as a kitchen, closet system, and staircase built together as one engagement. We do not take on single-room jobs, single-item repairs, or handyman-scale work.
We're glad to work alongside your own architect or designer, or with our in-house design team, to bring your vision to life — whatever direction you have in mind.
We also bring that same discipline to flagship storefronts and boutique retail spaces in Miami's most prestigious shopping districts — including the Miami Design District, Merrick Park, Bal Harbour, Coconut Grove, and Coral Gables.
